Organisation

While most mums were nagging their teenagers to tidy their rooms, my mum found great amusement in messing mine up instead! I love sharing my organisation tips and tricks, so whether it’s health related, home organisation or even organising my mind, I hope you’ll find some organisation mimspiration!

Chronic Illness / Dynamic Disability

The path of chronic illness is very uncomfortable and unpredictable at times, but I’ve found helpful ways to navigate it. Here I’ll share some of my best tips of how I’ve coped both practically and emotionally over the past 25+ years living with multiple chronic illnesses (Myositis, Addisonian and more) throughout many different seasons of life, from being a child to now having my own children.

I hope you’ll feel more empowered, equipped and encouraged and perhaps even be inspired with some fresh ideas to make your life that little bit easier!

Faith

A friend once asked me if living with chronic illness had made my faith stronger or weaker. It was an easy answer – definitely stronger! In amongst the messiness of life and as much as I’ve wrestled with things over the years, my faith has been the vital foundation in finding meaning and purpose in each season of my life, peace in the storms, strength to face each day and hope for the future! I’m still here hoping for healing but writing in the waiting!

Family Life

My two little miracles are growing and changing ever so quickly, so being intentional about how I use my precious energy has been essential in fast-paced family life. I have learnt to embrace the unique strengths I bring to mum life, and I hope to share some of the routines and systems that make our family life that much easier – leaving energy to focus on what really matters!

Creativity

It’s amazing that when certain doors are closed and we are forced to slow down and be still, how creativity can flourish. Here I’ll share some of the ways my creativity has developed and opened doors to new opportunities and passions. I’ll share about some of my writing ventures, arts & crafts and how I became involved with the inspiring Seed Stones art ministry as a teenager. I hope through sharing, you’ll be mimspired in your own creative ventures!

Mimspiration Blog

With a background in Chaplaincy, freelance journalism and 25+ years of personal experience living with Myositis (plus being Addisonian and more) my mission is to be raw and real about the challenges that many living with chronic illness face.

I’m here for all the chronic illness conversations, so if you’d like to know more or if there’s something specific you think would be of value for me to possibly write about in the future, I would love to hear from you!
